We have published three versions of this map, showing how the area changed across the years.
The maps cover the southern area of Manchester around and to the south of Alexandra Park, including much of Whalley Range. Coverage stretches from
Egerton Road eastward to Dogkennel Lane, and from Mayfield Road southward to Alexandra Park station. Features include Alexandra Park, Primitive Methodist College,
Old Doghouse Farm, stretch of GCR railway with Alexandra Park station, Old Hall Farm, Hawarden House, Manley Hall, Manley Park, Independent College,
Whalley House, St Gertrude's Convent, Whalley Farm etc.
We include selections of early street directory entries on the reverse of each map.
The map links up with sheets 104.14 Moss Side to the north, 111.01 Chorlton cum Hardy to the west, 111.03 Fallowfield to the east
and 111.06 Barlow Moor to the south.
